Strategies Against Variance

I've been practicing at home for a while and I was trying to think of some ideas to avoid the big swings variance brings, such as the losing hands you might get when the count is high and in your favor. Maybe you can't really avoid those losing hands and just have to keep playing, I was curious what others do when they hit high counts that end up being losing hands
