Signaling hole-card info...legal if all are playing?

If me and a partner are sitting at a table, and the dealer exposes the hole-card to me, can I legally signal the value to someone else at the table that is also playing? I would like to know if there are any laws against this. Not talking about spooking. Any comments from J Morgan especially welcome. Feel free to email me.
