Question for Math Prof and DD: Wonging out with Hi-Lo

Any Hi-Lo player knows that you are suppose to wong out when the TC <= -1, but what should you do when the TC is somewhere between -1 and -.5? Let us say it is early in the shoe and the RC = -4 and there are 5 decks left. Now the TC = -.8. Would you wong out here or is this departure point too early?

What is the consequence of wonging out of a shoe too early with a negative RC? It is negative expectation after all so aren't you just saving your $$$?
