Pit counts discard tray?

You sit down at a SD game with one player already there. Unfortunately two other players join but you play anyways. In the first few shuffles the count goes high and you bet accordingly (5 units). You are up 20 units in your first 5 minutes. The pit boss comes over and counts down the discard tray, then eyeballs my table from the craps game next door.
Q. What to do?
Being new to this, I ordered a drink; flat bet for 10 minutes and hit the door.
