losing runs

I have a simple question I was wondering if someone with experience can answer.
Is it a regular occurence that someone who plays blackjack using simple cheat cards without card counting will lose 8 or 9 times in a row. I play blackjack only infrequently and this has never happened to me, but I was wondering if this happens often to regular players. I assume the dynamics of probability are relatively complex with blackjack, although I assume it is about 50/50 player/dealer(dealer with obviously slight advantage.
I have a system where I could potentially make $1 with every hand dealt and I was specifically wondering if this 8 or 9 loss losing run would come up more frequently than once sequence every 1000 hands.
