Is this a common rule?

I was playing some DD this weekend at the Orleans. It seemed like a pretty decent game to a beginner like me (about 65% pen). I pulled a pair of Aces and was lickin my chops. However, they had a rule that you could only draw one card per split Ace. Naturally, I pulled a duece on one of the Aces and lost that one. I just wanted to know if this rule was only for Coast Casinos, or has anybody seen it in other places?
