Increase bet size or bet two hands?

So far, I've had the most success playing at a reasonably local small casino that has a 6D, DAS, H17 game. Minimum bet is $3 and depending on the session I'll bet $5 as the minimum or sometimes $3.

I'm using Synder's Hi-Lo lite so the TC is a bit different than most, but my bet ramp has been typically
<1 - $5
1 - $10
2 - $25
3 - $50
4 - $75

I've never hit a count of +4 in this game however. My question is at counts of 2 or 3, am I better off betting say one hand at $25, or two hands at $10-$15? Or one hand of $50, or two hands of $25?

Is there a difference in my expected rate of return and in general what draws more attention from the pit?
