Hey all, new AP here. Been a few weeks of memorizing charts, online practice, etc
But I'm finding that when I go in to play at some lowstakes tables for practice, I'll be doing really well when it's just me or maybe one other player, but if the table fills up my odds seem to shoot way down.
For example, I had a running count of +12 at about 3/6 deck penetration when my then table of 2 players jumped to 5 while I was on third base. Everyone else was dealt face cards/aces, by the time I got my first card the count was down to +8, and I got a seven card; second cards dealt, count down to +4, and I was dealt a seven. No, they weren't back counting, just regular people jumping in, didn't look like a team, the only other player at the table who could've been signalling to jump in didn't appear to be doing much better + the new players busted out fairly quickly after that round and left.
So I guess my question is, is AP feasible with high # of players? Is third base a bad spot to sit? Should I instead aim to go early in the morning on a Monday to avoid people even though that might make it easier for the pit to notice me?
Thanks,
