Hit on a soft 18 vs. dealer's 10 or Ace?

Hi,

Can someone tell me if I should have hit on a Ace and Ace and 4 and 2 (a hard 8 or a soft 18) versus a dealer's 10 or Ace showing? In other words, I had either a hard 8 or a soft 18 vs. dealer's card showing 10 (or Ace).

I should have hit until I got at least a hard 17, is that right?

Ace and 7 is considered a soft 18 in basic strategy, but is Ace, Ace, 4, 2, also considered a "soft 18" as well?
