hi/lo counting

just learning to count i am using the hi/lo method question is if i have a -4 count in a 6deck game with 4 decks left what is my true count negatives confuse me also if -3 and 6 decks left what is my true count. sorry for the dumb questions but have to start somewhere. the negative counts confuse me any help would be appreciated thanks ray
