Hi I'm relatively new to card counting and I read about this method where 2,3,4,6,7 are counted as +1... 9, 10, J, Q, K are -1 and 5's and Aces are -2. Also the 8's count as zero. I'm not sure what the technique is called, but when I was training on it I noticed I found it tough to distinguish the + - counts for the 5's and Aces, so I was wondering if I could change them back to + - 1, and I found this to be much easier to count (as many of the pairs are easily cancelled, so i can count much quicker). But I guess this method is called the Silver Fox method? I can count really quickly and accurately with this method, but I have read in some places that it is not as effective as the other methods? Can anybody give me some insight on this? Has anybody used this method with success? Thanks.
