Count reversal

Hi
I bring this up again as it is very confusing. Patterson has this theory that u should not bet big until the count starts to drop down from a high count. I mean is that credible cos I can't understand it.
I prefer the standard traditional way myself as u really want to bet bigger when the first high cards are dealt and not wait for the second hand to be dealt after the high cards have just come out.??

Secondly what would be the best TC to leave a table on a minus count??
