I watched a History Channel program this afternoon about the history of casino technology that had a disturbing segment about blackjack tracking. The table would have small cameras that would allow the casino to videotape and analyze all play for each hand, including bet size and player choices. The spokeman for Foxwoods said that this was used to allow the casino to identify card counters. It looked as if a video monitor was placed at the table for viewing by the pit, and could be used in realtime with intelligent software to immediately identify advantage play. Does anyone have any info on this technology or experienced it in use?
I assume since it was demonstrated for the television crew and that casinos pretty much have unlimited resources, this technology is available now. I have read about Track jack previously, but this seemed to be some other kind of sytem.
