betting strategy

playing a 6 deck shoe in Shreveport and using a minus 20 as a starting count and a high low betting system, I find that there are very few positive counts to justify the high bet. Would I be better off starting with zero and not counting the 7's as a positive number. I don't have the patience to wait for hours at the minimum bet waiting for a positive count. Please advise
