I am a beginner at the game of Blackjack.
My question is simple enough, Can I trust the Basic Strategy?
I'm sorry and I don't mean to make this a chore for you, but if you answer yes I would like to know the reasons that justify your assertion.
The reason I am so skeptical is that I don't believe the casino would teach a strategy that would in effect lessen its house advantage on any game.
And more importantly not only do I not believe in the findings of the basic stragegy or the so-called "rules of play" for Blackjack hands but I do not recognize the method in which the strategy was devised to be correct as one billion hands played,(simulated) randomly in my mind do not prove anything except the fact that you played a lot of blackjack. Your response would be much appreciated. Thank You!
