Question--
BACKGROUND:
I've only been barred once. Actually twice at the same place -- I
guess I only half believed it the first time, and so 8 months later I
returned and got an even stronger barring (shift manager replaced pit
boss, another casino executive and 2 security guards) within about
15 minutes of sitting down to play. First time they said I was
welcome to play any games other than blackjack. Second time there
was more nonverbal suggestion that I was not welcome at all, but as
far as direct statement they said I was now not allowed to play any
table games (and the friendly security fellow would show me where
the cage is to cash out my chips). Oddly, both sessions, I was down
for the session when I got bounced, though I do have a healthy
lifetime gain at the place.
I'm only a part time player, and actually haven't had time to play
for a few months.
QUESTION:
That casino was convenient for me for a number or reasons. I believe
I am clearly not in the Griffin book, so they must have had some
internal version of a "book" for themselves. The second time, I
of course scoped out that the pit boss, dealer and others did not know
me before I sat down to play, and I did not give ID or player card,
so they must have used a photo or possibly a guy behind the cameras
remembered but that seems unlikely.
So, how long will it be before I can play there again?
There must be some limit -- 40 years from now I plan to still be
around and it is likely none of them will be. Realistically, the
"return time" must be much shorter -- maybe only one or two years?
I figure if I try again every six months I will just "renew" my
barring each time (and maybe worse get 86'd). But If I wait long
enough maybe the old barring will be purged or faded from their
system, and I can have another go.
Any experiences or thoughts in this regard?
