bankroll

Just out of curiousity: There is much talk about bankroll size needed when counting. It seems like you have to bring $3000 grand with you to make more than a couple bucks. Anyone have any thoughts on bankroll/bet spread for the counter who can't afford a terribly large bankroll and doesn't need to make a large profit to be happy(a slight advantage and comps works fine for me)?
