anyone understand oklahoma bj rules?

I think I understood ealry on. All casinos charged an ante which goes to casino. The casino profit off the blackjack game was supposed to go back to players in form of prizes, free tourneys, etc. I am sure a big chunk was being scimmed off but at least this sort of made sense.

Now, most of the casinos player does not pay ante. The casino pays it. So does this work. A pb told me the ante is all they make off the blackjack. Profit off the game goes back to players. How does that work if casino is paying ante?
