A rumor I've heard a few times

Higher limit players under surveillance may be being tracked by camera between closeby casinos when they leave one casino and go to another. I have heard this is a possibility at the Tropicana corner in Las Vegas with the neighboring casinos communicating with each other. I have heard this a few times and am careful walking from one closeby place to another when I use a different name. Is it true? I have no idea. One thing is for certain, if they are not doing it now to higher limit players they soon will be.
