I asked this question in a post on Midwest a while back, never really got an answer.
If you're sitting at a 6D game, and for two hours (or longer), counts never get high enough to let you do much more than double your bet, does it make any sense to leave for another table? Because what's happened, seems to me, is that the cards have become evenly distributed, and the shuffling (machine or hand) isn't doing anything to change that.
We've all sat at a 6D table where the counts are all over the place. Big swings, a lot of volatility, the cards are all whacked out, and that's to our advantage.
I was at a table where the count stayed right around neutral shoe after shoe after shoe. Two hours at least. Didn't leave because the other tables were more crowded, but there were seats. Lost a small amount per hour. Should I have switched tables?
