3 or more card 16!?

hey guys....ive been practicing with CVBJ software and its advising stay on 16 (comprised of 3 or more cards) against face regardless of the count...does this "rule" have any place in an AP's world??!?!!

ps i went on my first trip to vegas.....stayed at the luxor and NYNY over spring break and didn't play a hand of BJ...what self control that took!!!
