Just back from LV where we saw the new Cirque Du Soleil show, Zumanity, at New York-New York. Save yourself sometime and money and don't bother with this flop.
My wife and I have been visiting Las Vegas on a regular basis for almost 25 years and we�ve seen just about every show in town. Some we�ve liked a lot more than the others, but we�ve never been disappointed in any show.
Until now.
We bought our tickets for Zumanity a few months ago based on our very positive experience in seeing the other Cirque Du Soleil shows in Las Vegas; Mystere and O. But this show, Zumanity, is a complete dud.
The performances are uninspiring and the comedy is amateurish. I�m not a prude. I enjoy shows that are labeled "erotic" or "sensual." But this was neither. It was just plain crude. And I might add, dull.
Since returning from Las Vegas I�ve read some articles about Zumanity that indicate that the current performances are "previews" and that the show is currently a "work-in-progress" that requires some "tweaking." My own reaction is that this show is beyond redemption. They should close this dog before NYNY embarrasses itself any further.
I've written to the hotel asking for a refund on my ticket purchase.
