I'm wondering if I'm leaving money on the table. My attitutde up to this point has been to leave when I double my money, but I'm wondering if I should stay longer to try to squeeze more money out of a session. When is the right time to leave the table? I ask because I have stayed in the past when I'm up, trying to turn a profit into a bigger profit, only to lose what I had. Thoughts?

I really appreciate the link, it confirms what i have been doing. Does anyonbe set a predetermined ceiling on their winnings to prevent identification by casino personnel? If so, what is it? I'm pretty new and have a small br, $2000, btw.
Since you have a small bankroll, you base bet is probably small. If you are playing on the strip, you can probably play for hours without anybody caring. You don't need cover. Ian Andersen's advice is for people playing at much higher levels.
If you are playing downtown or elsewhere, you might have to worry a little about not being detected. However, unless you are playing there daily, I wouldn't worry about it. The only thing I might consider doing if I were you is to rathole chips so your wins don't appear too big.

In your first post, you mentioned issues such as leaving money on the table or leaving before you lose money. Remove these issues from your mind. You make money by playing not by leaving. Sure, you will have ups and downs, but in the long run your expected value = advantage times amount bet. The more you play, the more you bet, hence the more you expect to win.
Just limit your session length. Two things are bad for you, long long sessions of very small min bets followed by one strange out of place blistering big bets AND repeated swings from very small to very big bets even in relatively short periods of time.
If your bets change little over time then you can win as much as you want without much scrutiny....but if you've been betting small bets with a few table changes mixed in for a long period of time you will open yourself up to a lot of scrutiny when your big bets come.
The best type of session is where you bet small for only a couple of shoes and then catch your big shoe and hit the door all within 30 to 45 minutes. If you lose you should end the session to let them enter your loss in the system. You can always come back and try again in a few minutes after a bathroom break, meal, or just a chance to cool off. If you win big you should just wait and come back on the next shift. If you've table hopped a bunch already and still haven't caught a big shoe after 45-60 minutes you should take a break and come back in an hour or so.
Remember, a casino need at 2 or 3 min bet to at least medium bet cycles to get a read on your actual skill level...if you quit before they get a big enough sample size they have to scrap what they've done and start all over again when you come back. Short sessions are your best defense against skills checks.
the more you table hop the more scrutiny even your medium bets will get...not just very big bets. Of course this assumes your top bet is more than 2x$300 or so. If you're at a place like Bellagio playing a $25 shoe game even going to 2x$300 you will be invisible until you get to your final top bets. At smaller places this point might be 2x$150 or 2x$200 before they start to look at you as a threat.
You cant know when to stay or go. Anyone who tells you that they can has just lied to you. Why because if they knew they would be so rich because they would do nothing but win
