The rule of six is a term often used to describe penetration in a single deck game. It simply means that you add the number of rounds dealt to the number of players and you come up with six. For example, one player would receive five rounds, two players would receive four rounds and so on. Some casinos will continue to deal two rounds even to five players, but this is becoming more rare as time goes by.
