What are APs doing in Las Vegas these days?

I moved here! It's as different from the environment in 2019 as 2019 was from 2009. The places that used to be good, aren't. The places that used to be awful, are a little less so. The places that used to turn me around and douche me out on sight now let me play. 

Of course, now that I play here full time I have to be very subtle, none of my Northeastern savagery will be welcome. But with a lot of calculation, game selection, and taking advantage of other things available at the BJ table and elsewhere I can get by. 

Does El Cortez Casino still have single and double deck games? They had the best games for APs. 

You're probably the only one on earth to state that El Cortez had the best games for APs, where spreading from $5 to $10 would get you barred on the single- and double-deck games in 20 minutes.

El Cortez no longer deals SD and no longer allows DAS on DD, making it not worth playing. 

There are some reasonable DD games around town for straight BJ, and there is also some baccarat fun to be had. But being the good opportunities are now more concentrated I was wondering why I don't see any other APs at them, so they must be doing something else. Like going to a bar in a port town and you don't see any sailors. You know there's a better bar.

I haven't been to Vegas in many years.  The time we ran into each other walking down the street was probably close to the last time I was there.

Ah yes, the good old days! When you could just walk into a casino, sit down and play blackjack. 

Funny thing, that place where we went and played hasn't changed much at all, still one of the best games in town.
