very bad variation or casino cheats

Yesterday i played flat bet in 3 hand (1 unit all the time).
I lost 200 units in 5 hours playing(about 2000 hands)
I played against machine so its edge over me is .4%

But every BJ gives about .3 unit extra that increases my chances 1%,thatsway i playing it.

I saw abnormally small cards all the evening.Is that bad variation possible or i suspect that machines are few big cards missing?

I suspect you are playing games outside the US. I don't have a feel for the probability of cheating in those venues.

A friend just returned from Costa Rica and met the owner of one of the casino's in San Jose. The owner told him that some of the other casinos in Costa Rica pull some 10's out of the decks and always leave the cards face down on the table when no one is playing.

I always take a break or change venues if I lose 30 units. 500 units is way to large of a loss to take in one sitting.

So 4SD is normal or not?

If you play enough, you will encounter such swings, but not often.

I have had 1 hour sessions in the -4 SD range, but I don't remember any in 5 consecutive hours.
