Vegas Car Rental question

Can anyone tell me if the new consolidated location is better or worse than the old method? I'll be in Vegas in a few weeks. Thanks.

Just returned home from LV 7/24---7/28 and was very pleased with the new set-up .Had no complaints with the old system and although this facility is farther away than my old sites it is extremely efficient.I even asked our driver if anyone lost their job driving the small company vans and he told me that everyone was given the oppurtunity to stay on . I'm sure some did not want to drive these larger buses .

While it is a nice idea, one can spend some time waiting if you arrive at a popular time. My last trip saw it take over 2 hours to get out of there. The line was long, and then the guys turning the cars around (cleaning, etc) were so far behind it wasn't funny. We had requested a mini-van (6 people went) and it took a _while_ before one popped up to the front and we could get out...

2 HOURS! What a difference.

I have been there in the early evening 7P-9P. No lines at any of the counters.

BTW if you want to rent a Lotus Elise, Enterprise has them. They go for $150/day. If it is slow they'll give it to you for $105 :-) zoom zoom

on a Friday night arrival at 11:30PM. Baggage took a long time and then there was a huge line to get on the Rental Car Shuttle buses. Once I was at the Rental building, Avis had about 15 people waiting and took about 45 minutes. My brother lives only 5 minutes from the airport and it took 2 hours from the time I landed to get to his house. Crazy! The rental return was much better.

was around 11 or so local time. Don't remember exactly now, but it was in the big rush around lunch... I normally don't arrive around that time, but some sort of travel glitch last time caused this...

At the Auto Show last winter I talked with
a Lotus rep about a small, new model. It
costs about $40K-50K, if I remember correctly.
Almost affordable.

So a rental for $150/day isn't too bad, for
a very stylish ride.

BTW, the Sands in AC went under the wrecking
ball this past week, according to TV news.
Making way for a new, multi-billion dollar
casino complex. Not sure who's building the
new complex.
