any one here ever uses the unbalanced zen 2 count? in other forums people told me it was the best unbalanced count and better than KO, is it better than KO? and one ever used it?
thanks, killerbot848

In my opinion:
It was really amazing when it first came out. It was perfect for those with division deficiency disabilities who still wanted to learn an accurate/powerful system. :-) Players still use it. It is one of the most accurate/powerful level-2 unbalanced systems. Actually, it is the only level-2 unbalanced system I can think of. You can still buy UBZ2 right here from BJ21. Just click on catalog and scroll down.
The bad new is that BJ games have eroded since George C. published his UBZ2. In those days, a more accurate/powerful system would make nice gains possible in those sweet SD & DD that were plentiful back then. These games do not exist for the most part anymore, at least not in numbers large enough to justify learning a level-2 system today. Shoe games have never required an accurate/powerful level-2 system to win.
Most of the full-time pros suggest a simple level-one system like Red7, KO or high-low. High-low is the most used level-1 balanced system. It has been around forever. It does require you to make a true count conversion. Which takes an extra step of either division or multiplication..
I refused to accept the fact that a simple level-1 system is good enough to GET THE MONEY when I started. Actually, I knew it was good enough for other people. However, In keeping with my personality, I wanted to learn a system that was better than average. I believed that the extra effort of a level-2 or 3 system would pay off. I also must have needed to stroke my ego at that point in my life. I kept changing higher-level systems with each book I read. Luckily, before long I understood enough theory to see why a level-1 system was actually right for me, too. I settled in with Red7 Basic and upgraded to Red7 Advanced TC within a few days. The TC conversion was not as hard as I had expected. I loved it and made a lot of money with it.
When I found the extremely rare SD candy store, I wanted a balanced system. I was able to upgrade to high-low with I18 Indices within 24-hours. It was such a simple switch because Red7 Advanced TC is so similar to high-low. It paid off well. The night they backed me off, the candy store closed. They lowered the table limits from $500 max to $100 max and installed a cut card. I got my treats while I could. Later on, I found out that I had won 10% of this little casinos monthly variance (their replenishable bankroll) in just one hour :-}
I had spent my time learning how to play a winning game of blackjack instead of only learning to count cards.
In the end, the mechanics of counting were very easy. Learning the mathematical and social aspects of a winning game was and continues to be the real challenge.
Focus on what youll actually need to know. Read a bunch of BJ books, join greenchip here at BJ21.com, and read all of the archives. It is all here! Just for the price of time and less than $1 per week. :-)
Good Luck

is the system still good? and worth learning? would i make more money with it than KO?
and thanks for your response, killerbot848
yes, it's better in than it results in a higher SCORE. But you can probably play better and faster with a simpler count.
Panama Rick is right again, I should have kept it simple. I sometimes have a problem with communicating information. If someone asks what time it is, I want to tell them how to make a watch! You probably just wanted to know what time it was.
I would like to clarify a few points. Ill keep it as brief and clear as I can. I do apologize for not answering you question directly; I put all of my energy into giving you information that would help you to answer the question for yourself. Sorry 'bout that.
If you were asking if a computer would mathematically prove, inside its silicon environment, that UBZ2 beats Red7 & KO, then YES! UBZ2 is better and the computer can theoretically make more money during its simulation.
If you were asking, Can a human being who learns UBZ2 will make more money that someone learning Red7, High-Low or KO? Then the answer is probably not. You can actually ruin your ability to win more money in a casino environment by overtaxing yourself.
I would avoid wasting my time on little systems like SpeedCount or OPP, if you have even heard of them. They are very weak when compared with UBZ2 or KO.
Personally, I found it easier to use High-Low to beat SD rather than UBZ2. I certainly cant imagine winning more using UBZ2 at the SD game I mentioned earlier. Many find shoe games a bit fatiguing to count when using a level-2 system. For back counting, there is no comparison for me; KO or High-Low is the way to go.
Panama Rick made it as simple as it can get. The faster you play accurately, the more you make. If you want the largest return for your time, use KO.
Cheers

well, i got time enough to learn so once i head up to the casinos ill be fast enough and would be able to count very easily.
It's way more important to be able to get more money on the table at plus counts.
I use Kiss III from Renzeys Blackjack Bluebook II,works like a charm.
Best of luck to all!
