Two Book Questions

Anyone of these books worth the price: The Card Counters Guide to Casino Surveillance and Card Counting for the Casino Executive? The 1st is high priced!

I can recommend Bill Zender's Card Counting For The Casino Executive. Bill Zender has done a little of everything in gaming; dealing, counting, casino executive and cardroom operator. Not long along I read that he was running a poker room in So. Calif. He generally knows what he is talking about. He was the person behind the much-lauded deep penetration games at the old Aladdin, believing that a casino would make more money offering good games, tolerating low stakes counters rather than run off both the counters and the suckers with bad games. He knows that most counters are not much of a threat and that a lot of income is lost fighting a problem which is highly exagerated by security firms whose business it is to perpetuate scare tactics about marauding card counters.

I have not read Card Counter's Guide.....

aka "Cellini's book". This is a high priced book with very valuable information, IMHO. It is worth the price if you are playing green or higher and play more than occasionally. On the value scale, I would place it below several other books including PBJ and BJA, meaning that those other books are severely UNDER priced for the value of the information they provide.

If you have limited resources, I would advise getting BJRM before buying Cellini's book. Of course, if you have limited resources then you will not be playing green and will probably not need Cellini's book in the first place.
