Tropicana, Atlantic City

Does anyone have recent information about the quality of the Blackjack games offered at the Tropicana in Atlantic City?

Even when it is slow in the mid-week winter the Trop will be hawking their over-priced games and giving the worst pen on the boardwalk. I hear their chicken is getting heat for winning too much. Absolutely the pits.

As far as I know, any game you choose in AC would be better than what you will find at the Tropicana. The fact that they are under construction is also a minus.

Are they being remodeled? I have heard it said that the rooms are just as important as the game.

Or is it that bad rooms will adversely affect a good game?

Hey Scobeel, you're right! Trop's parking deck collapsed this morning! Several guys got hurt or were missing under the piles.

A side note to Ron: Ron, why waste your time in other casinos when Borgata offers: (A) 2 five-dollar-tables near the Gypsies Bar, (B) 6deckers, (C) 1 deck or less penetration, (D) liberal rules: resplitting up to 4times (except aces), s17,ds, etc... (E)and ok to wong in most of the tables. Good luck & don't get stuck in a bad seat too long.

I have to say that the recent turn of events confirms the Trop as a bad choice. I would be very skeptical of construction standards in AC. The Justin Timberlake/Christina Aguilera tour had a grid cave in on their rig at the Boardwalk Hall this summer. Now this. I hope they had a different contractor for the Borgata.

So why are you promoting the Borg? It doesn't make any sense to me. I would keep it to myself and a few friends, not broadcast it at every opportunity. The influence of this store has opened up some other options on the boardwalk.

The BJ Insider report seems to think that there are a lot more decent games in AC at the moment. Maybe you should branch out before they get their hooks on you. The way the six decks are coming home to roost I might have to pay a visit myself.
