Just played a round of blackjack at my cousins house and there was a triple (according to my cousin, this rule is apparently used in the casinos here in our country). After you hit a double and you still want to hit you can hit but you should add the same amount for a double, thus trippling your original bet.
Is there really such a thing>? if so, what is the basic strategy?
I have never heard of it at any casino anywhere.
last night, doubling the original bet only though. It adds 0.3% to ev. The BS are double 5 against 6 (redouble on 7 against 6), 6 against 5,6 (redouble 8) ... etc. There are 5 casino I know of using such rules.
This redoubling option is normally exclusive for certain Spanish 21 games. I don't believe you will ever see it in the regular casino BJ game unless it's a promotional thing.
Can you clarify? Usually we double on 9-11 total cards. What if you doubled and you get in the range of 12-15 total. Then youd think of redoubling. Right? Wouldn't true count be also be a factor
