Is it worth counting in BJ tournaments? It seems like there is so much to keep up with with all the chip counting and all that. I will be playing in my first BJ tournament next week.
Background: I am proficient with KO. I'm currently reading Wong's "Casino Tournament Strategy" but the book seems a little too involved for me at the present time. It will be a small local tournament with $20 entry fee, using the casino's no value chips, $500 chips each session, min. $5 - max. $500, 108 entrants maximum. Three rounds; two from each round 1 table goes to semi-final tables, 1 from each semi-final tables goes to final table. 6 players per table.
Any other advice regarding simpler strategies (simpler than Wong's book that is) that I can learn in less than a week would be appreciated.
