I am heading out to Treasure Island, Las Vegas in a few weeks, and I was wondering what the current Blackjack rules were.
I am a green chip, basic strategy player.
Also how are the comps for a player like me?

The high limit room has two DD and two 6 deck games. The minimum bet range from $100 to $300. Outside these four tables in the high limit room there are only CSM and 6:5 games at the TI. Several times when the high limit was completely empty of players, I have asked if I could play at a $50 minimum and was refused.
You will be better off taking the tram to Mirage and playing their 6 deck games which usually have at least a few with $25 minimum. The DD games are lowered to $25 in the early morning hours. I think your TI host can still base your comps on your play at the Mirage. Getting your coffee shop, California pizza, and Mirage buffet comped should not to difficult, but the room is doubtful.
I asked one of the dealers at a CSM game in the TI, if the MGM execs were trying to make most of the long time blackjack move to the Mirage. His response was, "I think they just want to run off anyone who tips".
Since the merger madness, most of the good Blackjack and Video poker opportunities have been lost.
If Mirage has acceptable BJ rules I will play there.

in August and got no COMPS at all! If you don't play a MINIMUM of $25 they don't even track your play. And their selection of games wasn't very good. Casino Royale across the street has a better game AND good comps!
If you mean "chunky green" action, i.e spreading up and down (from $50) to $25 - $250, the key factors will be how high class a joint is it. If it is a real carpet joint then your comps won't get you beyond the buffet. In most casinos that level of action for 4+ hrs. will get you R F B (room, food, beverage) although it may be "limited RFB." At a sawdust joint display even 2 hrs of that kind of play and you will be deemed golden.
While your cash result is irrelevant and your act too is moot; having a pleasant personality with good "people skills" can only help in motivating the floor supervisor to fetch you a casino host. A few well-placed tokes with the floor watching WILL help as well, since the floor and the dealers want to see a "George" [ploppy who tips well] stick around. There is a gray area where you are qualified for comps in a borderline fashion. IF the crew likes you, they will verbally and non-verbally communicate that to the host.
