the wheel

i can watch a wheel for a while and based on my experience and the speed of the wheel and where the dealer released the ball and how fast and how and...bla bla bla....and make some good guesses where the ball is going to drop....i have guessed the exact number and i have also guessed within 3 adjacent numbers on the wheel....like
3-15-34...i am quick in placing bets on the tables..is this some kind of illusion or if i am disciplined i can make money off this on the wheel?..my guesses have been :straight up, straight up and the street, two different numbers and 3 adjacent nu,mbers on the wheel...i am going to try this this weekend..i can stand and watch the wheel for hours..patience is my weapon...i have done this and if you do it with your hands in your pocket.they will be convinced you are just another loser...like to get some input...no sugar coating plzzzzz

quantum chromodynamics, it is unlikely that you will be able to clock a wheel with the necessary accuracy to hit individual numbers. With QCD, it is possible to predict some of the properties of subatomic particles, but I'm not sure how that helps you. If you are able to operate your sense of timeing with significantly fine granularity, perhaps you can shoot sectors. computers have been known to do this on occasion, but not select individual numbers. i have been able to do this by observing the patteren of the numbers coming up..factors i include are...for that period of time ..were numbers mostly black or red?...any particular section of the wheel..
any particular section of the table?....and based on this i have been able to guess ..sometimes an individual number and sometimes a two individual numbers and other times 2 or at most 3 adjacent numbers on the wheel...but i havent kept track of any record and i can not say how much money i would have been able to make this way...some of the dealers get a bit nurvous when they see this and try to change their spining habits but then they get busy and they forget and turn into a mechanical human who does the same thing over and over again....God dosent play dice with universe but the wheel is much smaller than the universe..so i will take my chances..

if you look at the odds of the wheel..i could be wrong many times and be right only few times and still be ahead...way ahead...wheel has one of the worst odds for the player..in terms of beating the odds mathematically, i would be out of my mind to even contemplate that about the wheel...
now that you mentioned QM...i will add that uncertainty principle also applies here ...the more certain i am about the outcome of a spin, the fewer numbers i have to bet on..i am sure Heisenberg will be proud of me..it would sort of go like this..

I think you're kidding yourself. The best test would be simple: Go to a casino, get one of those little cards that people use to track the numbers on the wheel, and do your thing.

Don't bet. Just write down what number you think the ball is going to. Write down which one it actually lands on. Do this a couple thousand times. Yeah, it's going to take a few months, maybe longer. Doesn't matter- the casino will still be there when you get done.

If you wind up getting it right more than 1 in every 38 spins, come back here, leave me a message, and we'll make a lot of money.

But I strongly suspect you've just fooled yourself into believing that you can pick where the ball is going to land. If you cover three numbers on the table, then you only need to be "right" about 1 in 12 times to break even. That once in twelve probably stands out a lot in your mind, but thanks to selective perception you don't pay much attention to the 11 times (actually, it's more than 11 because of the 0 and the 00 on the wheel) you get it wrong.

What the hell, though. Give it a shot. Heck, forget what I said, just take your money in and go nuts. If you do it for a couple of years over several thousand spins, then you'll be on to something great. If you don't, well, you'll be broke, but you'll have learned something, eh? :)

This means that the more certain you are about the outcome, the more numbers you have to bet on, because you are less certain about the numbers. So you probably want

don't spend your time on the American wheel. The European wheels are harder to find, but there is at least one in Reno and many in LV.

i think this time i got it right...try it with soome numbers...I may never become as famous as Heisenberg, but i sure like to be little richer than him when all is said and done...

i do lot better than 1 in 38....i cant always guess the individual number ..sometimes i can guess the line which pays 5 to 1 some times i guess the street which pays 11 to 1...but...my real guesses are either the exact number or three adjacent numbers on the wheel ...and this happenes not very often..last time it took me more than 4 hours of observing the same table to be able to guess only twice...first i guessed 8 and was pretty sure..i was sure enough to place a big bet had i had any chips in my hand and it landed on 8..and the other time in that session i guessed 3 or 5 and it landed on 5.....but the guy next to me made a 1000 dollar because he bet on red....didnt trust me enough to bet on 3 or 5 straight up....i will start with 5 dollar chips...i will find out if my original BR will grow any legs or not..

What you're talking about is called "sectioning."

Novice dealers in small casinos, and even some otherwise good dealers who get tired and bored toward the end of their shifts, sometimes become "predictable" in the manner you have described. Any roulette dealer who becomes predictable enough to allow a player to "section" their wheel could be fired on the spot.

The way you bet the section is to estimate the number you think will come up, and bet the two numbers on either side of it ON THE WHEEL; for a total of 5 bets. If the house minumum is a $10 "spread," for example, then you're talking about 5 x $2 bets.

Now, if you hit the number, you win $70, get $2 back, and lose $8, for a net win of $62 per hit. Of course, every loss costs you $10.

The straight odds would be:

5 x $62 = $310
33 x -$10 = -$330
Totals: 38 and -$20

If we let "W" and "L" be the wins and losses, then to break even you would have:

L = 38 - W
62W - 10L = 0
62W - 10(38 - W) = 0
62W - 380 + 10W = 0
72W = 380
W = 5.277778 and L = 32.722222

IOW, you would have to be able to hit your section more often than, say, 1/32nd of the time to get any kind of worthwhile edge. More often than 1/31 or 1/30 would be a lot better.

But bear in mind that once a pit critter sees you betting this way and winning, he's going to make damn sure the dealer starts varying the routine to stop it.

Also, especially when they see you first standing there with your hand in pockets watching for a couple hours. Maybe you should make some mimimum bets as cover while your getting your read on the wheel.

thanks for the good words and good math....math doesnt lie...that is for sure....the way i see the SECTIONING to be effective it has to be done in a sort of Wheel-Wonging....you watch the wheel and see a patteren..put your rear end on the chair and place some bets ..the minute you see the patteren is not occuring anymore ...comes the decision time...so how many times do you have to lose in a row to see that streak is gone..the pit critter would have hard time noticing it if the table is a crowded one..with people throwing money every where...i will find out this weekend...or will get a feel for it...

i make some R or B bets while i am doing this...that is another way of telling them you are on your last dime..

it is the same idea here...problem is that there are 37 spots that can ruin your day and onlt one that will make you smile..
