All of these things and more...
Do you sequence them to death?? Is that the secret to getting 7 figures US per year from gambling? Do you hole-card? Shuffle-track? Back-card? Move to Malaysia?? Become a casino war expert? I ask because pure counting is just not cutting it anymore and I'm getting sick of getting clobbered all the time.
For a player to really approach 7 figures you'd need to do all these things...and then some. The level of commitment and study I'm talking about would be of the order required to become a junior doctor-you'd have to make it your life and push yourself to the limits. You would be talking about six years of study before even placing a bet.
The players who are really capable of pushing the envelope would be those who could spontaneously figure out their own powerful methods of advantage play and exploit them to the hilt before they casinos knew what hit them. Relatively few such individuals exist-Dominic O'Brien's application of sophisticated memory techniques to blackjack would place him in that category, so too would Don Goren's work on neural networks. Ted Forrester's incredible recent writings on card location applied to blackjack side-bets may qualify him also.
(This is all theory by the way, I don't have that level of commitment and I don't make seven figures a year, in fact last year I didn't make six figures)
Of course, if your ambition is a little less than seven figures per annum and you are sick of the flux you probably want to get stuck into some of the very low-variance online opportunities. I got started online for the same reasons you want out of counting.
Send me a mail if you want and I can try and point you in the right direction.
