Does anyone know what counting method these MIT kids used in the book "Bringing Down The House"? I've just about gotten the KO system down, and I'm wondering if they used a variation or if it matters that much. Thanks in advance, Heavyweight.

this message is for you. A dealer tonight at a major strip casino told me and others that the casinos are on to everything involving counters. That they don't even last 30 minutes in the casino. Cause once the casino KNOWS they are counting, they toss them. He mentioned this cause some einstein asked the dealer if someone could really count a six deck shoe....like the MIT kids in that book. The dealer told them that MIT group got too greedy so that they are done in Vegas, and he was so confident and sure of himslef in his tone....GREAT STUFF, and what a way to start my session. Everytime someone raised their bet, i said "watch out, might be a counter at the table"! Hey, we have to have fun sometimes!

I get most of my comedic relief listening to the flood of misinformation that abounds at many BJ tables. I tend to jump into the conversation with my favorite BJ superstitions. It's amazing how quickly the "hounds are off the scent" when you buy into their disinformation campaign.
the casinos are very quick to picking up Gorilla BP/Spotter type strategies today. Many no longer allow mid-shoe entry which has made much of the old MIT approach ineffective.
