o.k...some of us are doomed to places using these things...so a few quick questions...does anybody know where I can get my hands on one? Also, how many cards are pre-determined before the deal? I have been told two different numbers, 7 and 16...which is true? Can this vary from casino to casino? Anybody know the truth by examining one of these beasts? Thanks in Advance...

Not true.

Just as I refuse to go to Atlantic City, which is only 5 hours away from my house, and go instead to the Gulf Coast, which is 13 hours by car or a $100 SWA flight to N.O. + a rental car away.

There is a way to "back count" these infernal machines, but you'll be money ahead flying/driving to Mississippi an playing the halfway decent DD, S17, SAP, RSA, DAS games to be found there.

IOW, there are ALWAYS choices, including the choice not to play at all.
