and it's not a hype story. What the MIT Teams accomplished in the 90s was unbelievable. Those guys took the casinos for millions. That is a well known fact. MIT took teamplay to a whole another level. What makes it so hard to believe is they got away with it for quite some time before the casinos finally caught on.
Yes and no. There was certainly hype in the book, not neccessarily a bad thing IMHO if not too downright misleading. A little dramatic licence makes things more fun.
I don't agree what they did was unbelievable. They were bankrolled to a very high level. The return on investment wasn't that fantastic. Most of the money went to the investors (though this included team members).
Most of the ideas they used were tried and tested. I don't think they claimed to have taken team play to a whole new level.
It would probably make an entertaining film but I doubt it will happen. It will be one of these film ideas that never get made like MDBJ and a trillion other scripts in-waiting at Hollywood production houses.
