Harrah's and Tunica
I hate to tell you, but Harrah's "invaded" Tunica quite some time ago--twice, even. I believe they were the first casino in the "Casino Strip" area, in the building that later became the Isle of Capri and is now no longer a casino ("East Tower" for Sam's Town). They later bought the old Southern Belle Casino, briefly operated both properties, then closed the original Harrah's and settled on their current location.
I predict a backlash among the faithful Horseshoe players--there's a reason it was the number one casino in town--UNLESS they maintain Jack Binion's way of running things. Unfortunately, I predict that the only thing that will stay the same is the name.
