Team Play Off The Same Bankroll

O.K.,I get the idea that we can make bigger bets off the bigger bankroll if we pool our money. What I don't quite comprehend is this:
if we're all (team members) playing at the same time how can we all be making bigger bets off that bankroll?
Any help understanding this would really be appreciated.

If you're all playing with the same advantage wouldn't it be like you yourself had a larger bankroll but played faster?

That is the biggest advantage of team play. 4 players each with $25,000 can play 100 hours each betting $200 max bets and each make maybe $10,000 or they can combine their bankrolls and all bet $800 max bets and each make $40,000. The risk is the same as long as they aren't all sitting at the same BJ table.

The tradeoff, it's inevitable that one player out of four will dramatically underperform, one player out of four will be exceptionally lucky, and two will win roughly their expectation. Issues regarding trust, skills, game selection, cover, and all sorts of things come up between players that aren't issues when you're solo.

It seems if we're all playing off the same bankroll it 's like we're overbetting for the size of our bankroll. Also if our collective win is four times as much,we still have to divide it by four-so where's the great advantage?

If you're playing equally and separately, the advantage is smaller variance. Assuming you trust them all 100%.

Well, I can't help what it seems like to you, but it isn't the case. Each plays as if he/she owns the entire bankroll.

It isn't; it's 16 times as much!!

Each player wins four times as much as if he played by himself.

How you play and what the bank arrangement is are two different concept. If both people contribute to the total bank, then that's the bankroll. If only one player actually plays, then the win is double what one person would win, and, when you split it, you wouldn't win more, except, of course, that playing with a spotter is more efficient than playing alone, so the win is increased nonetheless.

The monetary arrangement between the spotter and the BP is a separate matter, and the spotter rarely gets the same pay as the BP.

The idea that multiple players can pool money and play bigger stakes to a larger bank is valid, but there are some other practical limitations when session banks become too small.

For example, a group of four people can each contribute $10k and play to a $40k bankroll. If they establish a RoR such that their max bets are around $200-300, each individual's $10k trip bank will probably survive the vast majority of sessions, and when someone loses, there should be time to transfer funds as needed between sessions.

However, suppose you formed a group of twenty players, contributing $10k each for a $200k total bank. With the larger bank, this group could theoretically establish a max bet of $1000-1500, but the going into a session betting like this with a $10k trip bank is just asking for negative variance to eventually bite you in the butt. Players will end up short stacked or go broke in positive shoes and they will be unable to fully utilize their $200k bank. The only way this could work is if they were very coordinated about when and where they are playing, and if they had an efficient means to transfer funds within the team.

Any player who places bets of $500 or more will quickly be under close srutiny and barrings or other countermeasures will be rather frequent.
So the theorecical truth that a teamplayer can multiply his personal winrate by the number of members doesn't hold up in practice.
