A few years ago I asked about this and never really got an answer. What true count do you need for this bet to be worth it? Has anyone done any runs on this? I know there are many variables but there must be something out there.

Don, can you google it? They have it at Mohegan and Foxwoods in CT and maybe some other places. Surprised you haven't heard of it. $5 dollar bet pays anywhere from $10 for Ace up, to thousands of dollars for straight flushes. It's your first two cards with the dealers first two, combined. I'll explain more if need be.
I responded to this two years ago. HiLo is not effective for this side bet, but a HiLo TC of +8 may indicate a possible +EV.
Did you do the computer runs? I figure that with all the variables, it could be tough. The payouts are always changing because as people play it, the jackpots keep going up. Plus, there is a random jackpot that is paid to someone who is playing it and doesn't even require a dealer BJ. It goes off before the meter reaches 500.00. If I knew of someone that had the ability to do the runs, I'd give all the info. It's kind of complicated.
Here's some info on the bet and payouts:
I’ve never done any calculation but other people have researched it. The result is you need a jackpot greater than $830K to guarantee an edge on every hand you bet.

I have seen this. Unfortunately it doesn't take the count into account. But it could be helpful for someone to do the runs.

I have seen that stat but it doesn't take the count into account or the other payoffs, which are many and the amounts can get up there.

What do you mean by other payoffs? If there are any, message me more details. I’ve considered this a little more.

Before I get into the lengthy details, do you have the ability to do runs on this?
No, I do not have the ability to calculate this; however, your question has been answered by richodude on wizardofvegas.
I saw his answer and it starts out: "I'd imagine this happens at a true count....." which tells me he didn't do the runs. I also don't think he knows all the possible payoffs,
You mentioned other payoffs a couple of times and held them like a secret. I used the Wizard’s payoff table to estimate this and found the tigger TC is about +6 if the jackpot is $400k.

I researched a little more into this side bet and found you are right. If I assume the random hit (for any possible hand) jackpot is $500 and the top jackpot is $300k, the trigger TC becomes +5.

I added the Super 4 bet to the blackjack-hack simulator https://www.blackjack-hack.com/blackjack-hack.php
Below the surrender table is the Super 4 payoff table. It comes up with the version 1 pay table form the Wizard of Odds: https://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/side-bets/super-4/.
Type y below the table to enable the bet and at what count. If the count is left blank it will place the bet at a count of 0 or greater.
Set the royal flush jackpots to what you would like to try. Enter the jackpot numbers without a $ sign or commas. For example don't type in $100,000 type 100000
Results are shown on the right side of the screen if you scroll down a little.
Detailed results by count are displayed at the very bottom of all the output, after the graphs and tables. Cumulative numbers (Totals) are shown for multiple runs at every count level.
Phil
Hi Phil, You surely have the skills! I have simulated the Super 4 side bet using your tool. In my sim, I used Wizard’s Super 4 Pay Table Version 2 and set the Jackpot as $300,000. I played 40,000,000 blackjack hands to average the results and found the HiLo trigger TC=+5. This result agrees on my earlier calculation based on the ace density. However, within the range +5<=TC<=+13, the gains at different TC levels behave like a jackpot. This indicates that HiLo is not efficient for this side bet.
A little more details. I haven’t seen Versions 1 and 2 paytables in any casinos, but I’ve played Version 3 and 4 in different casinos. Versions 2, 3, and 4 are similar, but Version 3 is cheaper. There is no reason for casinos to use Version 1 because its hit frequency is about 5%. Also, I find there are some typos/mistakes in Wizard’s Version 4 report.
