strange rules this weekend

While at a casino this weekend I got a handout about a new game of blackjack the casino was offering. The only thing is that is has some rulesI have never come across before.I was just wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this set of rules.

SINGLE 21
-single deck (close to 3/4 deck penetration)
-double down at any time with any number of cards
-late surrender
-split anytime including after hits as long as two same value
cards are touching
-split after doubling if you have two same value cards touching
including aces
-unsuited blackjack gets evn money no matter what even
dealer blackjack
-suited blackjack pays 3 to 2
-six cards under 21 always wins even money
-5$-100$ table limits

I realize that some of the rules arent that great but I was wondering if it is a beatable game and what to use beating it as far as which count what basic strategy.As of now I use hi/low with no side count and play BS for vegas strip rules 6 deck game.I played a while just to see how the game was and did alright nothing big. I was just flat betting the minimum, not counting, and was not sure what strategy to use.
Any comments on this are greatly appreciated

This sounds like Super Fun 21 or its clone. Check the site listed below for details on this game. I'd reccommend finding a better game if at all possible.

Thanks that clears things up a bit. I have always heard of superfun 21 but never seen it.The wizard of odds says that the house edge is roughly .94%, a little high but it seems like with the correct strategy for the set of rules it should be able to be beaten. The only advantage in this case is even money on unsuited blackjack and dealer hitting soft 17 but shouldn't the other rules in the players favor overcome that. I do of course understand that a casino would not put a game on the floor if they didnt have the edge. So my next question is why this game cant be beaten with the correct strategy.The reason I am interested is I have never played a single deck game always six deck shoe. The house edge at Superfun 21 is a huge .94% off the top IF you know Superfun strategy, which is different than "normal" blackjack. If you don�t know the strategy, the house edge is even worse.

Superfun is beatable with a specialized strategy, a large spread, aggressive playing style and certain, ideal playing conditions. All four factors must be present.

The game is not recommended for other than full-time Las Vegas-based players, because you'll have to spend more time scouting for the exact conditions needed than a part-timer, or visitor, is able to spend.

LVBear is the man on SuperFun21, and correct.
The game NoDak USAF described though is not SF21.
The NoDak game has strange multiple card splits, which could
decrease the house edge. And it doesn't have surrender after
double which would increase the house edge. And it has suited
bj pays 3:2 rather than only diamond bj pays 4:2, which would
slightly decrease the house edge from SF21. The NoDak game
should require a slightly different strategy than SF21, especially
because of no surrender after double.

By the way, as far as I can tell, no bj simulators can simulate
surrender after double and multiple card surrender -- anyone know
one that can?

I didn't look through the rules mentionend in the original post carefully enough. It looks more like the "Single 21" game offered at Boomtown Biloxi and two or three Tunica stores. Sentry was correct in describing it as a SF21 "clone." I don't know of a published strategy for this game. I have observed the game, but not played it. It is probably beatable under specific circumstances, but would take a lot of work to develop correct strategies for it. Because of the very few such games offered, it would probably be a waste of time to do it.

is not SF21, but a new game called "Single 21". It is not as good as regular single deck, but may be better than SF21 due to the splitting after double down rule. Sheraton Tunica had it with rule of 6 and the game was pounded into extinction in fairly short order. I don' t know the exact house edge however and the above information is based only on anecdotal evidence (and the pitbosses at Sheraton telling me they got murdered on the game).

I found a link (below) about this game that provides a little more information, including a calculation of the house edge. This game would be playable with a specialized strategy, if you could find an uncrowded table.

One problem with devoting a lot of energy to this game is that it could disapear. This game is not very widespread, and it is liscenced. The casinos that offer it could decide to eliminate it on a whim to save the royalty fees. A novice would be better served to concentrate on the basics. First, master the preparation for the games that are widely avilable.

Thank you all for the help.I am currently looking for some sort of strategy on this game.This is not by any means the main game that I play, but as I posted earlier it does interest me, for whatever reason, a lot.I usually play in the local area at small casinos that only offer 6 deck shoe vegas strip rules blackjack period.(no slots no anything else)
So a new game to learn sounds like an interesting challenge.Once again thanks for all the help and advice.Any more will be greatly appreciated.

I to have found when play Super-Fun 21 the more aggressive the better. Of course it could all just be luck, but I have tried it conservatively and lost both times. However when I have played it aggressively I have won all ten times.

A full analysis should be done, but I would guess that the SF21
strategy may be a good first approximation for this game.
The mulitple card splits are the major exception. These seem
to be complicated to either simulate or approximate. They probably
do not have a large impact on expectation (because they are
relatively rare), but I think they reveal some interesting multiply-
dependent cases.

..Some of the rules sound like Superfun 21, although I have never investigated the game well enough to know for sure. (I think SF 21 only pays 2-1 on diamond BJ, not all suited, so that may make a difference). If it is SF, or close enough to it, the house edge is around a .8 which is a little worse then an 8 deck shoe with poor rules. A .8 is very difficult to overcome, you would need large spreads and quite often, since the casinos know that is the only way it can be beaten, they will be looking for it.

Just interested NoDak in what area of the country you are playing and found this game?

I have encountered this game before and I think it is very very hard to beat. Not saying it is impossible though...just very very hard.
