I think it is a profitable game but can not compute the EV. Of course there is no counting possible. Can anyone figure it out???
If this game is offered in a land casino and the rules are clearly what you say they are, just flat bet this game cause you have over 2% edge.
HOWEVER, something tells me that this game in on the internet and as usual, internet casinos are telling you things...their own way. A Blackjack payout of 2:1 probably means that you get what you bet plus one extra chip! This is in fact a very poor payout of 1 for 1. In this case, you are at a disadvantage of over 2.7% in this game.
Make sure they aren't fooling you!
That's misleading slot machine lingo that means that blackjack pays even money and insurance pays the normal amount. Awful game.
If the payouts are really what you think you would have several % points over the house and basic strategy would of course be always take insurance.
BJ pays 2 FOR 1 is the same as paying 1 TO 1. It would normally say Blackjack pays 5 FOR 2 if it was standard rules. BJ paying Even money adds 2.3% to the house advantage. The game you describe (h17 d10 das) is has about an 0.3% house advantage so it would be 2.6% house advantage for this game.
Insurance paying 3 FOR 1 is the same is 2 TO 1.
There are some craps tables that say a Yo Bet pays 16 FOR 1 of course this is the same as the standard 15 TO 1.
What is the minimum bet? What is the maximum bet? Where is it?
