Saw a Counter Doing This
I happened onto a table where another counter was playing this strategy. Three units on the first hand. Seemed smart. Of course once we each realized the other was counting we both left the table. Haven't seen him since.
But I did borrow the technique recently. Hit into a giant count right after sitting down. Won every hand at my max bet and got lots of attention. I left my max into the next shoe and continued winning. Count deteriorated and dropped back down. The trick seemed to convince the pit I was an innocent.
