In your simulation from pages 210-211 in "Burning the Tables in Las Vegas" (the one where a player flat bets and leaves when the TC reaches -1), did you use S17 or H17 there? (the book only refers to "standard las vegas strip rules)
... at the time of publication were S17.
That's what I figured, but since H17 has been so prevalent there for awhile now I wasn't sure.

At the time of publication Strip Rules were S17. Downtown was H17. Most every Casino on the strip was SD. Only MGM, Sands and a few others (?) had only 4DK delt face down.
I always remembered "strip rules" as SD: S17, DAS. These then became "Turning Stone rules" per Wong, then disappeared for the most part. Always loved the Vegas 6 deck games with 1-1.25 cut off. The only SD games I remember with close to those rules were the old Maxim and Reserve.
