I was wondering if you waited for a minimum TC or RC before Wonging in on a 6 or 8 deck shoe? If so, what area those #'s?
I have Professional Blackjack and read the Wonging it section but was not able to ascertain exactly when you felt the advantage was enough to warrant sitting down at an 8 deck shoe.

This answer to this question is covered in Blackjack Attack by Don Schlesinger. It varies on the game conditions and your bet spread.
If you want to calculate which is best for your situation, use http://www.qfit.com/cvcxonlineviewer.htm. Once you set up the game conditions and bet spread, compare the c-SCORE values using different values for back-counting.
