split 10 to BJ 3:2

The casino near my home has CSM's, that pays 3:2 on a blackjack if I split the tens, splitting tens allowed 2 times,
When should I split the 10s taking this rule in account, against
single dealers upcards or all dealers upcards or never ?

And splitting tens only has value if you are aware of a surplus of high cards.

Unless the dealer is not replacing the cards back into the CSM until most of the cards have been played out of it, you're not going to be able to get to that kind of surplus.

Even in a normally shuffled game with good penetration, an adequate surplus to justify splitting tens doesn't happen that often.

Buy and read some blackjack books by Snyder, Wong, Bootlegger, and others you find in the catalog on this site.

the index for splitting 10's vs 6 is +4. If 1/2 deck in discard tray before replacing you'd need +22 running count to justify splitting 10's vs 6 and +28 running count to split vs 5.

If you play a LOT it might happen one time every few months...and at that point you're only SLIGHTLY better off splitting 10's vs standing.

Not if catching an ace on a ten pays 3:2. :-) The higher payoff isn't enough to make splitting basic strategy, but the indices for splitting vs. 5 and 6 surely drop. I think they may be +1 (+2, at the highest).

Yeah, well -- after attacking me as viciously as he did, he finally had to throw in the towel and admit his system was a loser. Of course, he never apologized. He then invented another system, which he claimed to have sold to Harrah's so they could suppress it.

The thing that always made me curious was his statement that his computer people told him there was no way his system could be analyzed on computer. I suspect they knew about his temperament and weren't about to tell him things he didn't want to hear.

I thought he was just noting the 3:2 payoff of the game in general rather than 3:2 payoff on split 10's. I need to read these more carefully.
