Single-Deck Spread
In Tunica, or LV for that matter, one can often get a "relative" 6:1 to 8:1 spread by going from 1-2 hands. Granted, with most casino's not allowing mid-shoe entry, 2-1 is used in actuality.
I often start out with 2 hands of a "Low-Medium" bet, and when the count climbs, so does my bet. If the count drops...same. If it drops alot, down to one hand only.
Certain disadvantages, such as when you drop to your Small bet on one hand, then a flurry of little cards are played, to the point that you "should" have two Big bets out. Oh well. Also, if playing head to head, you may actually increase your $ "exposed" to Negative counts, though you will still be maintaining a profitable spread.
I usually play this "system" at SD, except at nearly full or full SD, when my "extra" hand costs another Round, than I go to just one hand period. Have rarely got any heat this way.
