Silver Legacy - Reno?

hi there. could some1 tell me what the BJ rules are like @ the silver legacy? thanx, slimjim.

Silver Legacy is a burn joint. About 20 single deck 6 to 5 ripoff games, and a few other garbage games. Two or three real single decks with very paranoid pit, Reno rules (D10).

Also watch out for the Mindplay cheating devices at their sister property, the Eldorado.

These two properties are among the nicest in Reno, but embarrassingly bad for blackjack. You can skip both entirely and not be missing a thing as far as the blackjack goes.

Silver Legacy even has this cheating game with face-down, no-double-after-split rule. They even use a cut card for every 1.5 decks that come out from an 8-deck pack! Everything resembles a pitch game. Watch out for the small signs. Eldorado also has this cheating game, with even smaller signs.

They have the same 8 deck , 1 deck at a time game at the PLAZA downtown Vegas....

Dummy me was playing, counting away, up $900.00 betting 25-100.

Then I noticed that 5 7's had come up....I asked what's this...then he explained that is was 8 decks with approximately 1 deck at a time.

I left a few hands later....

A large new Indian casino also has some fake double deck games with
cut card and all (actually they are 8 deck shuffle machines). They
also have real double deck games, sometimes even at the same pit.

When I was first learning the game, I played one of the fake double decks
probably three times before I realized the fake. I counted and
made a big insurance bet based on the bogus count, and happened to win
it. Soon thereafter I noticed a "counter catcher" standing there in
suit staring at my play. After that session I realized it was a fake
game. I figured the counter catcher probably also realized it and
chalked up both himself and me as fools -- giving me a "pass" to go
ahead and count at the real games, as I learned. I don't know for
sure but it might have as I played blatant proper counting strategy
for another 5 months untill they barred me.

I have taught myself to always ask what type game I'm playing if I'm not absolutely sure. The key is to seem like an inexperienced gambler while asking.

If the dealer emerges with the same color deck as the one that was just put in the shuffle machine then it is probably a fake.
