I'm baaaaaaccckkk!!!
I offer to you, my friends, my complementary NFL play of the week which I documented the previous two years on BJInfo.com (same handle) as IN THE MONEY!!!
While I have only documented it to my BJ friends for the past 2 years, it has been in the money at season's end for many, many years. Remember, just like BJ this is a marathon, NOT a sprint.
So without further ado, I give you my play:
Each year is getting tougher and tougher and I believe this is due to the difficulty in handicapping teams with key injuries and additions/subtractions, coaching changes, rookie starting QBs, and we even have coaching/player suspensions to deal with this year for 'Bounty-gate'. Gosh, my job is getting harder and harder every year, but someone's gotta do it!! :D
The SEATTLE Arizona game provides interesting QB fodder - on one side we have John Skelton beating out last year's "prized" QB free agent Kevin Kolb and the other side we have rookie Russell Wilson beating out this year's QB prize (sans Peyton) Matt Flynn. Coach Carroll is ga ga over his strong armed, heady, athletic (can run) 3rd round selection over GB veteran Flynn (who, incidentally was a 7th rounder). Wilson critics cite his size (lack thereof) standing only 5'10" when just 17 QB started in the NFL the past 25 years, however had he crossed the 6' threshold many say he would easily been a 1st rounder. Coach Carroll is a great judge of character (see ya Owens/Winslow) and even better judge of talent...nuff said...in a 'fire up the cigar by halftime' play...we LOVE the SEAHAWKS -2.5 at the Cardinals.
GOOD LUCK,
Sharky
